>The Faux brick masonite and the infinatly strange paossibilities make
this place one of a kind. Who knew Ol’ Steve-O gave enough of a shit
about skateboarding to build an indoor park in his living room.
Simonetti built this work of art and shreds every inch of it.

Simonetti And Steve-O

words by Steve-O. Photos by SP.
I moved into my first apartment, right off Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, California, in October of 2001. When I found out that MTV Cribs was coming to film it, I called Ryan Simonetti about building ramps in there. The first ramps went up, and the first Cribs segment was filmed in June of 2002. I got arrested in there by the LAPD fugitive division, on warrant out of Louisiana with bail set at 1.12 million dollars in July of 2002. A whole bunch of legendary sex, drugs, and rock’n’roll history went down in that apartment, but, for the last year or two it’s just been a skate park. We busted out the walls of both bedrooms and filled the entire space with ramps. The world of skateboarding has seen many homes with ramps in them, but none like this place. Inch for inch, I don’t think that any indoor ramps have ever been as impressive as the ones Ryan Simonetti built in there, and no skater has been more impressive than Ryan Simonetti when it came to riding them. It is extremely emotional to see the end of the era of my very first pad, but that’s what we see in these photos.
Thanks to everyone who joined us in making that place so rad for so many years, love, Steve-O
